The State of Connecticut Emergency Credentialing Program

This program was established to provide participating hospitals a statewide database to identify and expeditiously contact physicians and other medical staff members who have volunteered to provide assistance at institutions or locations other than their primary hospital in the case of a "declared emergency" or "public health emergency."  These volunteer practitioners will become members of a Connecticut's Medical Reserve Corps and will be provided liability and worker's compensation coverage through the Public Health Emergency Response Authority when enlisted by the program during a "state of emergency" declared by the Governor.
